My first death
There's alot of first time for being a nurse, especially if u r still quite a new nurse. I encountered afew deaths and recuss but I was never the in charge so I never really had the chance to communicate with the deceased family ,giving them instructions of what to do next , reassure them, (this is especially important because they r emotionally unstable) . Today, I was the in charge, n I was the one who found my patient's BP unreadable, patient looked pale to me, I called him n touched him, no response from him.
I had 5 discharges today n 2 new admissions and out of the 5 discharges , 1 is not confirmed, 2 late discharge and another 1 suddenly cancel discharge. Is damn irritating !!!!!!!!!! ARGH !!!!!! No doubt i got abit fed up but still, I went back home at 5pm after discharging my 2 late discharged patients.
Work had been super busy everyday, it's a challenge everyday to work in my ward. This week schedule was PM,AM,PM,AM and I survived:))) I'm seriously seriously trying my very best, I really hoped I did make a change( positive ) in my patient's life.
Met SiokYing for dinner at bedok 85 market today. Damn shiok after eating the chicken wing n prawn mee after a long n hard day at work.

HOOOOO..Mizuno Wave Run 2011 10km
Although I love running so muchhh, I had never run 10km before, the further I ran was 4.2km , 1 round around bedok reservoir. It was so challenging after running for the 1st 5km ,I was so so exhausted, I felt that my legs r breaking down, my heart beats like 200bpm, I felt so dehydrated.....but never say die and at last i made it
Exhausted but ....satisfied :))))
